Purpose
To provide international students with opportunities to conduct advanced studies in undergraduate & graduate programs at higher educational institutions in the Republic of Korea in order to promote international exchanges in education and mutual friendship between countries.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are high-level integrated study programmes at master level. The programmes are designed and delivered by an international partnership of higher education institutions from different countries worldwide.
Erasmus+ funds scholarships for students to take part in these programmes. The masters programmes themselves offer these scholarships to the best-ranked student applicants worldwide, in annual application rounds.
EU scholarships cover the cost of a student’s participation in the programme, travel, and a living allowance.

Program Benefits:
Erasmus Mundus joint masters programmes provide 60, 90 or 120 ECTS credits. This means that they last from a minimum of 12 months to a maximum of 24 months. The majority are 24-month programmes.
Your study must comprise at least two study periods in two countries (different from your country of residence). Programmes offer different study tracks that meet this condition.
The successful completion of the study programme will lead to the award of either a joint degree (i.e. one single degree certificate issued on behalf of at least two higher education institutions of the EMJMD consortium) or multiple degrees (i.e. at least two degree certificates issued by two higher education institutions of the consortium).

Fully funded four-year PhD programme in Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at The University of Edinburgh
This 4-year PhD programme aspires to educate the next generation of leaders and influencers in regenerative medicine. Regenerative medicine aims to discover novel strategies to treat disease by replacing or regenerating damaged cells. The programme, based at the Institute for Regeneration and Repair (IRR), will deliver a broad range of cross-disciplinary training to equip graduates with the skills to drive the potential of regenerative medicine into advancements in human health.

Programme Details:
Year one: Foundation training and research rotation projects
Students will undertake laboratory skills training and will attend seminars and journal clubs. They will receive training in good research practice, scientific reasoning, research ethics and the critical assessment of research papers. Students will carry out two 12-week research projects and disseminate their findings through written and oral presentations.
Years two to four: PhD research project
After the rotation projects, students will select their PhD topic and design a detailed research proposal under guidance of their supervisor. Projects will span the breadth of research areas at IRR, ranging from fundamental science to clinical translation projects.
Students will receive training and support in state-of-the-art research facilities. Our students will become well-rounded graduates, skilled in working across various disciplines underpinning stem cell and regenerative medicine and equipped to take on challenging roles within academic, healthcare or industrial environments.

PhD scholarship to explore the relationship between individual metabolism and endometriosis.This exciting opportunity is for a graduate from biological sciences/biochemistry/ medicine/analytical chemistry or similar degree with a strong academic background to undertake a PhD in endometriosis research. The successful applicant will be based at Murdoch University at the Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC) and will contribute to a national research program funded through a Medical Research Future Fund Grant in collaboration with the University of Melbourne.The research will be focused on understanding the role of metabolites in endometriosis disease and progression.
