University of Leeds Scholarship

The University of Leeds is a public research university in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It was established in 1874 as the Yorkshire College of Science. In 1884 it merged with the Leeds School of Medicine (established 1831) and was renamed Yorkshire College. It became part of the federal Victoria University in 1887, joining Owens College (which became the University of Manchester) and University College Liverpool (which became the University of Liverpool).^[6] In 1904 a royal charter was granted to the University of Leeds by King Edward VII.^[7]

• The scholarship can be awarded in conjunction with other University of Leeds scholarships 

• The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction 

• Excludes online courses 

• Successful applicants must accept their scholarship within two weeks of receiving the scholarship offer by 17 June 2022

To be eligible to apply: 

• Your programme must start at the University of Leeds in October 2022 

• You must have submitted an application for one of the following full or part time courses: 

  • Engineering Geology MSc 

  • Exploration Geophysics MSc 

  • Structural Geology with Geophysics MSc 

  • Sustainability and Business MSc 

  • Sustainability and Consultancy MSc 

  • Ecological Economics MSc 

  • Climate Change and Environmental Policy MSc 

  • Sustainable Cities MSc 

  • Environment and Development MSc 

  • Sustainable Food Systems MSc 

  • Climate and Atmospheric Science MRes 

• You must be self-funding (or partially funded) and be classified as international for tuition fee purposes

Selection criteria

Our admissions team will select the strongest applications taking into account the following: 

• Have achieved or on track to achieve at least a UK Upper Second-Class (2:1) Honours degree or equivalent qualification, based on the criteria used by the School for offer purposes 

• Professional and personal skills evidenced through work experience and/or extracurricular activities 

• A clear rationale for applying to study at the University of Leeds and how it fits their future ambitions and goals

Successful applicants can expect to be notified of their scholarship by 3 June 2022
