Knight Hennessy Scholarship for International Students: Nearly 3,000 graduate students enroll at Stanford annually. Next year, more than 80 (growing to 100 over time) will be Knight-Hennessy scholars. Knight-Hennessy scholars span all seven schools at the university and bring a wide array of diverse academic experiences prior to enrolling at Stanford. Knight-Hennessy scholars are surrounded by fellow Stanford graduate students solving complex problems from different disciplinary approaches.
Knight-Hennessy scholars have lived, studied, and worked in a wide array of communities and cities, colleges and universities, companies and organizations throughout the world. Financial Support for Cost of Attendance
Knight-Hennessy scholars receive funding for up to three years for any graduate degree(s) at Stanford. This funding applies to the degree(s) to which scholars are preparing to enroll at the time of scholar selection.
During each of the first three years of graduate study, Knight-Hennessy scholars receive several types of funding:
A fellowship applied directly to cover tuition and associated fees
A stipend for living and academic expenses (such as room and board, books, academic supplies, instructional materials, local transportation, and reasonable personal expenses)
A travel stipend intended to cover an economy-class ticket for one annual trip to and from Stanford
Additional funding specific to certain years:
Newly enrolling scholars receive a one-time relocation stipend intended to offset some of the costs associated with relocation to the area and/or technology purchases.
Scholars in their second and third years may apply for supplemental funds to support academic enrichment activities (e.g., conference travel).
Knight-Hennessy Scholars (KHS) provides funding for the degree program listed in the initial KHS admission letter. Scholars who wish to enroll in an additional graduate program may apply to KHS to receive additional funding up to the maximum of three years. This additional funding is not guaranteed.
If a scholar is admitted to a degree program that exceeds three years — such as an MD, PhD, or Stanford dual- or joint-degree program — then funding is based on the graduate degree program’s standard funding commitment. This varies by department and school, as indicated in the chart below. Please contact the graduate program with specific questions about their funding commitment.

PEO International Peace Scholarship for Women
The International Peace Scholarship Fund was established in 1949, it is a program that provides scholarships for selected women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada.
At the time of application, the applicant is required to indicate additional financial resources adequate to meet her estimated expenses. Examples of additional resources are personal and family funds, tuition waivers, work scholarships, teaching assistantships, study grants and other scholarships.
Peace Scholarships are not given for online courses, research, internships or for practical training if not combined with coursework.
P.E.O. Scholars have demonstrated their ability to make significant contributions in their chosen field of study, having assumed leadership positions in university academics, scientific research, medicine, law, performing arts, international economics, history, literature, government and other demanding fields.

How Much Is the National Merit Scholarship
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. Approximately 1.5 million high school students enter the program each year.
How do you become a National Merit Scholar? The process starts with the PSAT. The National Merit Scholarship Program identifies the top-scoring juniors on the PSAT and selects semifinalists from that group in each state.

The National Merit Scholarship | How to Enter the Competition
High School students who meet published program entry and participation requirements enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) at the specified time in the high school program, usually as juniors.
Each year's PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test designated for entry to a particular year's competition. For example, the 2021 PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test for entry to the competition for scholarships to be awarded in 2023. The 2022 PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test for entry to the competition for scholarships to be awarded in 2024.
Registration for the test is by high school rather than individual student. Interested students should see their counselor at the beginning of the school year to make arrangements to take the PSAT/NMSQT at the school in the fall.
Note: The PSAT 10 and PSAT 8/9 will not be considered for entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program. The PSAT/NMSQT is the official route of entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program.
How Much Is the National Merit Scholarship
The National Merit Scholarship awards $2,500 to each National Merit Scholar. Every year, around 7,500 high school juniors receive a National Merit Scholarship.
In addition to a National Merit Scholarship, students with qualifying PSAT scores can receive merit scholarships offered by businesses and colleges. The corporate scholarships typically support the children of members or employees.
These scholarships may also fund students based on their location or career plans. One-time awards grant $2,500-$5,000. Some corporate scholarships offer renewable funding for up to four years that range from $1,000-$10,000 per year.
Nearly 4,000 college scholarships fund finalists planning to attend sponsor colleges. These awards typically offer $500-$2,000 per year, with the option to renew for up to four years.
The program also awards special scholarships to high-scoring juniors who did not qualify as finalists. These awards can be up to $10,000 per year.

To help with the additional costs of training, the Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) will receive a stipend of $300 for each spring and summer session. Tuition and fees will be charged to students attending a public university.
Beginning in the summer semester, FAS students are eligible to receive an award to cover tuition and applicable fees for summer sessions.

Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships In Public Health:
This award will not be open for the 2022-23 competition.
The Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships are offered through a partnership between the Fulbright Program and the Fogarty International Center of the U.S. National Institutes of Health. These awards were established to promote the expansion of research in public health and clinical research in resource-limited settings.
The Fogarty International Center, NIH, will provide support to the research training site and may provide orientation for the fellows at the NIH. In addition, NIH will provide a pre-departure orientation for selected Fellows in Washington, DC.
To participate in the Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen and:

Have sufficient proficiency in the host language to carry out the project required.

Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship
The Fulbright–National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship provides a unique platform for American Fulbright students to develop global narratives and discuss commonalities across borders around a common issue or theme. Trained, supported, and mentored by National Geographic Editors during their grants, grantees will use new media platforms to help build ties across cultures while enhancing mutual understanding. University of Miami Stamps Scholarship 2022:
University of Miami Stamps Scholarship is a fully funded undergraduate scholarship for international students. This scholarship covers full tuition, standard room and board, textbooks, s one-time allowance for the purchase of a computer and $12,000 for undergraduate research and conferences.
The University of Miami is partnering with the Stamps Scholars program to grant multi-year scholarships to assist motivated and skilled rulers of students attain their objectives of education and lives.
Stamps Scholars follow their academic goals while building their management abilities with merit-based economic support including enhancement resources that can be used for studying overseas, social interactions, research initiatives and other instructional activities.
Selected Stamps Scholarship applicants are encouraged to engage in the University of Miami Scholarship Weekend. Candidates will encounter with professors at the University of Miami and present academics during this summer program.

The HUBERT H. HUMPHREY Fellowship provides for:
Payment of tuition and fees at the assigned host university.
Pre-academic English language training, if required.
A maintenance (living) allowance, including a one-time settling-in allowance.
Accident and sickness coverage.
A book allowance.
A one-time computer subsidy.
Air travel (international travel to and from the U.S. for the Program and domestic travel to required program events).
A Professional Development allowance for professional activities, such as field trips, professional visits and conferences.
THE HUBERT H. HUMPHREY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM| FELLOWSHIP COMPONENTS:
Shortly after arriving in the U.S., H. HUMPHREY Fellows will prepare individual program plans for their professional development, detailing their goals and objectives for the year, including courses, seminars, special projects, professional and community activities. The main program components are:
Humphrey SeminarA core part of the Fellowship is a special year-long Humphrey Seminar organized by the host university. In the seminar, Fellows are introduced to the skills and perspectives they will need as global leaders, share approaches to common issues and problems in their regions, and learn about many aspects of U.S. culture and society.
Academic EnrichmentFellows are placed in groups of seven to fifteen at selected U.S. universities, which serve as their academic and professional base. Fellows audit or register for a partial course load to enable them to travel and network with their American peers and experts in their field of work, attend conferences, and engage in a professional affiliation (work experience) without the pressure of meeting specific degree or diploma requirements.
Professional DevelopmentThe purpose of the H. HUMPHREY Fellowship is to enrich Fellows’ professional skills and knowledge. The Program provides Fellows opportunities to meet and exchange information and share experiences with their American counterparts and Humphrey colleagues from around the world. Through conferences, networking meetings, seminars and workshops, Fellows expand their perspectives on their work and on global issues. The culmination of the Fellowship year is a six-week work experience, or Professional Affiliation, arranged by the Fellows, that involves them with American organizations and provides another opportunity for meeting and working with their American peers. The Institute of International Education also facilitates professional enhancement workshops that engage Fellows in cross-disciplinary and multi-regional exchanges.
The Washington Global Leadership ForumAll Fellows attend this four-day seminar in Washington, D.C. to learn more about U.S. institutions, federal agencies, and international organizations. Humphrey Fellows meet with representatives of key organizations, participate in sessions on leadership and professional development, and make professional contacts. The Global Leadership Forum provides an opportunity for Fellows to meet their Humphrey colleagues from all host campuses and to initiate the friendships and professional relationships that will continue throughout the Fellowship year and beyond.
English Language CoursesFellows who are otherwise strong Humphrey candidates but need improved English to benefit fully from the Humphrey experience participate in intensive English language training before the start of their Humphrey Fellowship Program (usually during the summer months). If needed, Fellows can also take additional English language courses at their host universities.

The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) brings future leaders to theUnited Statesto experience U.S. higher education, gain critical professional skills, and explore new cultures and values.
The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered byWorld Learning.
Since 2008, World Learning has provided this opportunity to over 2,500 Global UGRAD students. Participants leave the U.S. with the tools to become leaders in their professions and communities. Global UGRAD alumni go on to receive Fulbright grants, obtain prestigious international internships, and work in business and government in their home countries and regions.
